Albert Lea Seed Soybeans Going to Afghan Farmers


On February 1st Albert Lea Seed welcomed several government, industry, and non-profit representatives to help send off over sixty-eight tons of soybean seed to Afghanistan. The USDA’s Soybeans for Agricultural Renewal in Afghanistan project, the American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) project and the Minnetonka-based nonprofit Shelter for Life International will distribute the seed to 5000 Afghan farms.
