Tall Fescue
Tall Fescue is a productive, deep-rooted, cool-season perennial grass. Tall Fescue matures at a rate similar to alfalfa but, when used as an alfalfa companion, it is essential to take the first cutting before the Tall Fescue heads out. It tolerates heat and drought and produces summer forage when other grasses become dormant. It is also an excellent pasture grass due to its rapid re-growth and traffic tolerance. Tall Fescue is suitable for use on a wide range of soil types. It is slow to establish but very persistent and productive. All of the improved Tall Fescue varieties we carry are endophyte-free.
