Herculex® I
- Take your insect protection to a new level with the advanced technology of Herculex® I Insect Protection.
- Herculex® I delivers highly effective control of key insect pests, not only first and second generation Corn Borers (EBC) and Southwestern Corn Borer (SWCB), it also protects against Fall Army Worm, Western Bean Cutworm and Black Cutworm. Plus, it offers intermediate suppression of Corn Earworm, so your corn is shielded from the effects of multiple yield-robbing pests.
- Herculex® I hybrids are resistant to Liberty herbicide when applied over-the-top in accordance with the Liberty herbicide label. No herbicide carryover with the Liberty weed control program therefore no damage to future crops.

Viking Corn Hybrids with LibertyLink® Herbicide Resistance
- Viking LibertyLink (Herculex and Bt11) Hybrids contain a gene which confers resistance to Liberty herbicide.
- Liberty is a contact herbicide which is labeled to be sprayed over the top of LibertyLink corn from emergence through the V-7 stage of growth or a height of 24 inches (and 24” to 36” corn with drop nozzles). Rainfast 4 hours after application. Applications should be made between dawn and two hours before sunset. It has no residual activity or carryover.
- Liberty is a non-selective herbicide that controls a wide range of grass and broadleaf weeds including wooly cupgrass, velvetleaf, cocklebur, lambsquarters, and pigweed. All herbicides labeled for use on conventional corn may also be used for LibertyLink corn.
- Clearly mark those fields which are planted to a LibertyLink crop to avoid the possibility of a herbicide application error. Due to various genetic causes, up to a 1-2% stand loss can result when Liberty herbicide is sprayed on a Liberty-Link hybrid.
- The application of Liberty herbicide to a non-LibertyLink crop will result in serious crop injury and yield loss. Read and follow label directions carefully.
